November 21, 2022

Moose Jaw, SK – The Downtown Moose Jaw Association (DMJA) is proud to announce a $25,000.00 contribution towards the purchase of new winter lights for downtown Moose Jaw.

This one-time allocation will be added to the City of Moose Jaw’s annual Budget allocation of $25,000.00 for the replacement of the City’s winter lights and decorations.

“The first installment of new winter lights were turned on by the City earlier this year and they have rejuvenated the look of our downtown,” said Geoff Anderson, Chair of the DMJA Board. “We’ve had a successful fundraising year and this contribution is in line with our mandate to enhance and beautify Canada’s Most Notoriously Charming Downtown. We thank the City for their commitment to downtown beautification and this funding will expedite the replacement of the old decorations.”

Lights purchased with these funds will be installed for the 2023-24 winter season.

Incorporated in 2019, the Downtown Moose Jaw Association’s objective is to aid, stimulate, develop, and beautify the Moose Jaw Downtown Development Area.
